I shopped around for weeks for bridal jewelry before I found Thomas Knoell. I didn’t really know what I wanted and kept waffling between designs. At first, I thought I really wanted a back drop necklace to compliment the double V neckline of my dress. Then I wanted triple layer pearls. Then I wanted something vintage…but what? I just happened to stumble upon the Thomas Knoell website and found the most beautiful antique-style statement necklace. In 18K white gold and Swarovski crystals, this piece is simply stunning. I decided to pair it with some small, delicate pearl and crystal drop earrings to lightly compliment such a large statement piece. It was hard to choose since their entire collection is stunning.\n\n

\n\nWhile they have a stock collection, each piece is made to order and customized to your liking. For these pieces, my options were Clear Crystal, Vintage Rose and Golden Shadow stones. I opted for all Clear Crystal, and when they arrived, they were breathtaking. The intricate carved details in the necklace cannot be understated. And the finish on the white gold was the perfect antique matte to make the piece look truly antique. The earrings were small, delicate yet intricate and complimented and balanced the necklace beautifully.\n\n

\n\nThe necklace was surprisingly lightweight. It had a tendency to shift slightly, but that really was too minor to consider an issue. Any way it shifted, it still looked amazing. When I put it on, the ladies in the room gasped….that’s a good sign, right?!\n\n

\n\nHere, you can see that during the ceremony, the wind picked up and part of the necklace turned inward. Still looked phenomenal – the back is surprisingly just as gorgeous as the front, so I don’t think anybody even noticed. Also, I loved the way the necklace looked with the sun shining on it. (Excuse my cheesy grin…I was a happy girl!) I would recommend these pieces for not only bridal, but also formal events. This necklace would just pop on any low cut or V-neck gown.\n\n

\n\nThomas Knoell also has some gorgeous head pieces, drop earrings, jeweled belts, tiaras, combs…anything jeweled and vintage fabulous you could possibly imagine. Definitely a company catering to the bridal market, but there are also many pieces that would look appropriate (and stunning!) at any formal event. These gems are the next pieces I’m eyeing….\n\n
