Antonio Berardi’s Spring/Summer 2016 RTW collection theme was “distressed glamour.” There’s something romantic and understated about aged and faded luxury textiles, and Berardi tried to capture this feeling in some of his runway looks. Luxe fabrics were worked over with white linear details to appear sun-faded. Sheer sleeves had stitching that was piqued and separated to look like runs in stockings. Fringe splayed from black knits, creating a slightly unraveled look. Silhouettes were feminine and figure-flattering. A lemon yellow flowing maxi with blue jeweled embellishments randomly popped on the runway, flowing into a collection of vibrant gowns and soft, silk fluid dresses.\n\n
