Sheer florals dominated the Blumarine S/S16 RTW runway at Milan Fashion Week. The show started with sheer striped frocks with stemmed pastel blue, pink and yellow flower appliques. The collection evolved into a combination of knit, silk and tulle looks in easy, feminine silhouettes. A sheer gown with stripes in an 80’s palette of nude, white, orange, and brown with a faux crop top is so flattering. And I typically hate that color palette, but love that dress. I’m hot and cold over the oversized black top over the sheer skirt with a blue jeweled drop crotch design. The look would be stunning if the jewel design was a little less structured in that unfortunate one spot. The show closes out with two fabulous versions of a loose wrap top over a flowing satin skirt with a black fluid stripe down the side. Gorgeous.

  1. Love the black dress with the sheer skirt underneath! I normally don’t go for the sheer because I don’t think it’s very practical outside of the runway, but that one I can see being worn to a nice party!
