Creating a collection combining her past and present life, Reem Acra showed looks with traditional Middle Eastern beading on modern western silhouettes with short hemlines, plunging necklines, and strapless gowns. The look were decidedly bohemian, with intricate patterns, vibrant color combinations, detailed embroidery, intricate belts, and metallic inlays on flowing fabrics. The collection was, at times, a bit loud.
Still, there were many solid looks and I absolutely love the concept. Standout looks were the sheer gown with light blue embroidery and orange hemline, the black v-neck gown with embroidered flowers and silver beading, and the white tulle gown with gold embellished top and green and purple skirt underlays.
