Taking the more traditionalist approach to their Spring 2017 bridal collection was Reem Acra. While other designers dabbled in color and experimented with less romantic silhouettes and designs, Reem stuck to what makes a Reem buyer a Reem buyer: the fantasy. It’s almost like a Disney fairy tale come true for some brides-to-be. Sickeningly sweet for others, but none can question the absolute artistry and beauty in a Reem Acra gown. And so marched on the designer on this path, not swayed too far by the trends of the season. Instead, we saw the traditional white with lace and gobs of tulle in tiers.
What Reem held fast to the romantic silhouettes, there were a few nuanced trend sightings, like a deep plunging neckline covered delicately by lace, the off-the-shoulder silhouette, a tulle mermaid bustle, as well as several sheer boned corsets.
