Just 7 dresses made Carolina Herrera‘s Fall 2017 bridal collection in celebration of her 35th year in business. The designer wanted to return to the heritage of her first dress – the elegance, sophistication, and grandeur of the first dress she created.
The looks were timeless but on the pulse, with a plunge neck lace column gown with delicate flutter sleeves for the more bohemian bride, Carolina‘s signature cutout tie top over a sleek silk mikado trumpet for the haute bride, a high neck, long sleeve lace trumpet gown for the traditional bride, a floral embellished exaggerated sweetheart ankle length A-line for the off-beat bride, and Carolina’s artistry in the sweetheart folded neckline with exposed boning and a beautifully draped ballgown for the statement bride.
But the major moment of this collection (for me) was for the princess bride: a light-as-air tulle and organza Roman ballgown, embellished with crystals at the bodice and tiered layers of blush and peach tulle, creating a stunningly romantic (yet totally unexpected) wedding gown. Love it!
