Over the last 8 years, it’s been intriguing to watch Michelle Obama’s sartorial take on the holidays. The position of FLOTUS is one with many responsibilities, but perhaps most visible, and most talked about for years to come (unfortunately), is often the First Lady’s choice in style.

When you think of Jackie O’s legacy, I bet her perfectly tailored skirt suits, pillbox hats, oversized glasses, and those timeless perfectly fitted classic dresses. Just like it matters what color tie the POTUS wears, or how presidential his suit looks, so too matters the fashion choices of the First Lady.

And Michelle Obama has been perhaps the most unique FLOTUS to date with a modernist’s eye for style and a fit and muscular physique. She’s had some classic moments for sure, but she also has the confidence to take some risks as well. Here’s a look at the last 8 years of holiday style by the Obamas…and you can really see how they’ve changed!

    • Me too! I love her focus on fitness and health for kids, and a positive self image for girls. She’s been a great role model. Going to miss having her in the WH!
