Giamba! Giambattista Valli‘s second label sparks this intensely rich textured boho vibe paired with the dainty, feminine approach Valli is known for. He’s tapping into this perfect sweet spot this season of a little bit rock and roll attitude, a little bit demure, a whole lot of carefree festival vibe, and just really decadent clothes. The kind you go wide eyed over in public when you see it on the street.

Patent leather bad-girl pants were paired with sophisticated lace tops. Mini dresses had a bit of a 1960’s vintage silhouette going on, embellished with ruffles, flounce sleeves, or a neck tie. The most delish floral lace was used on several looks – the red especially caught my eye in a both a maxi with ruffled shoulders and collar, as well as a mini with a ruffle and tie neckline. The lace had large flowers in a damask pattern over this fishnet, and I’m loving it! The same lace is also done in a black – one mini dress, and one maxi over a pink slip dress and the effect is just as pretty. It wasn’t as successful when used on a bomber, which ended up looking a bit too kitschy.

The most fantastic and eccentric astrology-inspired print coat hemmed on all ends with white fur is speaking loudly to the boho free spirit crowd. There were a few Hamsa hand print and evil eye looks on dresses, and even a fur coat. And oh my goodness the skunk fur. Why am I so attracted to the skunk trend going on this season?! Why are they making us feel weird about ourselves?!

Valli slyly snuck in some sex appeal by way of a sneaky little cutout side view (barely) covered in sheer polka dot material on a black high-neck dress. Hemlines were short, and a few keyholes, faux off-the-shoulders and another cutout side view make sure to keep the vibe fresh and playful. And did you notice those shoes? Love those chunky gold heels!

Is it just me, or do Giamba and Alice & Olivia have a similar feel to them (in a good way!)?
