Ah, Milan Fashion Week begins! I love the whirlwind of fashion seasons, jumping from one nation to the next to view the shows of their top designers. Milan’s opening day did not disappoint with absolutely stunning collections.\n\n\n\nChicca Lualdi opened MFW with a collection chock full of Italian mod. The collection was fun, chic and nostalgic. I loved the color selections and the fabric choices. Most of all, I loved the cuts – these are outfits that would flatter a variety of different body types.\n\n

\n\nAngelos Bratis showed a collection of feminine, flowy, sensual looks that show off the feminine figure in a lovely, delicate way. Juxtaposed with the soft, flowy fabrics were large metal necklaces that seemed more like hardware than jewelry. It worked very well to counterbalance the delicate nature of the fabrics. Bravo, Mr. Bratis.\n\n \n\nThe Byblos Milano collection was all about structure, pattern and design. The looks were creative, modern, and showed a variety of textures, styles and designs. I was intrigued by this collection and loved these particular pieces the best.\n\n \n\nAndrea Incontri had an interesting collection. I must say that after watching so many shows this season, perhaps I felt a bit like I’d seen a few of these looks a lot. However, these looks were spot on gorgeous, want to buy them now.\n\n \n\nGucci: Loved the collection, especially the jackets. The show definitely had a Beatles vibe to it, especially with the hardware. But I felt the jackets were well-edited, sophisticated and quite fetching.\n\n \n\nNo. 21 also showed a fascinating collection focused around belts and mixing prints and textures. I loved the variations of looks, and these were the standouts of the show.\n\n \n\nAlberta Ferretti had my favorite collection of the day. It was romantic, intricate and showed a variety of beautiful looks that just flowed across the runway.\n\n
