Georges Hobeika never intended to be a designer. He attended college for civil engineering and architectural design, yet found his passion and calling while assisting his mother in her boutique atelier. Hobeika left his home in Lebanon to intern at fashion houses in Paris, notably working for Chanel before returning to Beirut in 1995 to open his own shop. He has shown his couture collections at every Paris Fashion Week since 2001, and has created a thriving brand with over 100 employees, three garment lines and an accessories line.

His classic silhouettes, perhaps inspired by Chanel, and his attention to detail in craftsmanship have created quite a name for Hobeika, whose gowns have been worn by quite the cast of leading ladies: Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Diane Kruger, Emmy Rossum, Julianne Hough, Elle Fanning, Julia Stiles and the list goes on.

Hobeika not only makes fabulous gowns, but also creates ready to wear dresses that are creative, flattering and oh so chic. Here are a few personal favorites from his current collections.
