The 1970’s era is weaving its way throughout major runway collections, and Reem Acra is another designer who has caught the bug. Acra took inspiration for her F/W 2015 RTW collection from Stevie Nicks’ “24-Karat Gold Collection” exhibit showcasing self-portrait polaroids from the 1970’s. The collection is decidedly feminine, with the detail work, embroidery, jewel and bead work, and lace all creating that bohemian, feminine, gypsy style Nicks was famous for. Anyone else see the Princess Bride gown in this collection? Or at least I want it to be….
