Channeling the image of Buenos Aires in the 1950s, Mark Badgley and James Mischka with looks that were “beautifully tailored by day and very sensual and elegant by night,” according to Mischka at the show.
The pair showed a wide range of fabrics with, tweed, jacquard, tulle, lace and chiffon in classic silhouettes in a vintage palette of blush, grey, soft yellows, white and black. Florals were the mainstay while little pops of metallic weaved into several of the gowns. The looks were classic and chic, invoking images of those bygone bombshell beauties like Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn.
