The Gucci Spring/Summer 2016 RTW collection took inspiration from Madeleine de Scudéry’s La Carte de Tendre, a map depicting a fantasy land of love published in the 17th century. It seems the collection ran the gamut of the color wheel, with fantastical, literal translation of prints, trompe l’oeil effects with ruffles and bows, and sequined fabrics. The silhouettes went full 70’s vintage, with squared button downs over midi skirts, Chanel-esque jackets over pleated skirts, and even a housecoat dress.

Great post, love this!
Thanks, love!
