Atelier Versace opened Paris Couture Fashion Week with a crisp athleisure collection that morphed quickly into couture gowns, all in a celebration of feminine strength. The details all centered around exposing the statuesque physique with cutouts, geometric lines, curves and pops of skin. A balance was struck between strong silhouettes and sensuality.Atelier Versace gold and white gownBut I’m not going to lie. The color palette and designs of the initial looks seemed a little inspired by David Koma Spring 2015. What do you think?

But thankfully, the following looks were a gorgeous departure from Koma’s collection, with asymmetry meeting sensual curves in long, flowing gowns with high slits and organic designs more reminiscent of the art nouveau movement. The gowns were sexy but graceful, with a distinct focus made on pops of flesh, and cuts of fabric in shapes that may be complex, but still accentuate the beauty of the female form.

I absolutely love this sensually strong version of Donatella! And of course, the show was closed in a full-circle turn of a pantsuit by the current fashion it-girl, Gigi Hadid.Gigi Hadid walking Atelier Versace runway in black cutout pant suit
