Emma Stone is getting an easy A again at the Venice Film Festival, and it’s not just because of her acting. The actress has been working the red carpet in several designer looks that have been head turners, brow raisers, and at the very least, golf clappers.

At the La La Land photo call, she wore a green and pink Giambattista Valli floral garden print dress with ruffled bishop sleeves. And the best part of the look is the unexpected, but totally working for me, mustard suede ankle-strap pumps.

Stone turned up the heat at the film’s Wednesday evening premiere with a glittering matte silver Versace fringe gown and a pair of silver ankle-strap sandals.

The fringe pieces fell in an ever-so-slightly off balanced cascade, creating a great visual texture…surely driving the perfectionists and OCD-ers crazy. But I personally love it. It’s both sophisticated and statuesque while just a little messy at the same time – a little like how I see Emma Stone’s fun and quirky personality.

Afterwards, it was all about the after-party as Stone caught a water taxi to the Hotel Excelsior to celebrate. She slipped into a slinky lilac satin slip dress, again by Versace. The fabric twisted on one shoulder, cascading down into the hem on one side, while the other side had a simple spaghetti strap and more of the fabric cascade. Sexy little vintage-inspired number, but not a total jaw-dropper.
