The destination dreamscape was realized through sculptural-meets-curvaceous white dresses and gowns, drawing to mind images of Mediterranean archways on sun-drenched whitewash homes climbing up the hillsides.
The white looks gave way to more landscape-inspired pieces, like a light as air soft green jumpsuit, another green look – this one a sheer shoulder-hugging moss dress, and several looks in cream, violet and a heather grey. All were subtle but sophisticated and gorgeous.
There was an interlude of great LBD’s with cutouts, leather trim, and lots of shoulders. Lots of shoulders throughout the collection, really. As much as I love the girly girl gowns wafting down the runway, so to do I love the edgy short black dress with a cutout lace up, or leather trim. Good on Pamella Roland for delivering both.
The show ended with a descent into water, with blue looks in an off-the-shoulder tri-color sheer gown, another off-the-shoulder, this time in an entrancing print, and a shimmering sheer fit and flare midi that makes the model look part siren.
