Holiday Gift Guide

Whether it’s your mom or your bestie, we’ve rounded up some of this year’s faves for the best holiday gifts. There’s a little something for everyone from the fashionista to the tech savvy to the interior decorator. I love to be the one known to give great gifts, and hopefully this guide will help you spot something for that one person in your life that’s harder to shop for.

As the holidays get closer and fabulous and unique items are discovered, we’ll update this list, so feel free to email us your amazing finds, Luxe readers!

Lumee Duo Marble, $69.95

The original Lumee case has nothing on this new version. I should know – I used it! The new fabulous marble case comes in three different shades of white marble, pink quartz, or black marble, and the case provides both front and back studio quality selfie lighting. They’ve improved the casing, which is considerably more durable, and the raised TPU edges make it easy to get your phone off and on, but provide a higher level of protection to your phone. I keep the Lumee on my phone full-time and have dropped it with no problems. This is definitely my favorite phone case I’ve owned hands down.

Lipstick Queen’s Frog Prince Lip & Cheek Duo, $35 – Yes! Green Makeup!!

For the girl in your life that likes a good fairytale ending…the adventurous free spirit…the beauty buff that has every shade of lipstick – but I bet she doesn’t have this one! This duet of lipstick and blush start out a cool emerald green (whoa!), but at the touch of your warm lips and skin, they go on a lovely shade of rosebud custom to your pH, and a flattering hue on just about everyone.

I discovered this brand about 4 months ago, and what I love most is the amazing texture. It leaves my lips in better shape than they started because of the great ingredients Lipstick Queen puts into their product – in this case, Vitamin E and shea butter to keep lips soft, hydrated, and Frog Prince kiss-worthy. In addition to those ingredients, the blush also has Avocado, Jojoba and Olive oils. Love, love, LOVE this company for the real, hydrating magical concoctions these lovely fairy godmother chemists come up with.

Amazon Echo (2nd Generation), $69

Now that multiroom audio support is enabled, you can play music in different rooms throughout the house, make phone calls and leave messages to other Echos, order goods from Amazon, and control the lights. The finishes have been upgraded too, with several different options including heather, sandstone, and charcoal gray fabrics, an oak, a metallic silver, and a walnut wood finish.

The best white elephant/secret santa gift: The Flask Bracelet, $22

Nothing says “I get you, bestie” like a bracelet flask that is sure to get a few laughs before the serious “I’m totally planning to use this for real”. For long, terrible days at the office, or the visits with that side of the family, the flask bracelet makes any not so great situation suddenly completely bearable…even a drinking game amongst friends every time that one elderly aunt says something racist. You know everyone has the one. Drink responsibly my friends!

Kohls Department Stores Inc

The best version of animal horns you could hang on your wall – animal friendly, chic & glistening pops of gold, $34.99 – $155.00

For the gilded touch, this crisp white on gold contrast of her favorite animal is absolute perfection to accent the walls. Even better, they also come in chalk paint style matte colors in minty and berry colors to make your space pop. The unicorn is a playful touch, and almost all of them come with a gold or silver glitter option. I personally have the gold ram version for my alma mater hanging on my wall in between colorful paintings, and it creates this fantastic balance, and a great conversational piece when people come over.

Docolor Fantasy 16-Piece Brush Set, $25

Inspired by the magic of unicorns, this shimmery ombre rainbow brush set includes 16 brushes for face and eyes. These babies are vegan and cruelty free, and work with both cream and powder products for a dreamy photo finish look.

Warby Parker Sunglasses, $95

Warby Parker is so popular because they retail online with the convenience of online shopping (as well as 63 brick and mortar locations in the U.S. and Canada) for both prescription glasses as well as fantastic sunnies. And while the prices aren’t bottom-of-the-barrel cheap, the shades are well-designed and the business model is customer experience oriented, as they mail you up to five glasses to try at home for free before you make a selection to purchase. Made from custom cellulose acetate, with a scratch resistant coating and 100% UV protection, the best part about these shades are still the style.

Coach Poppy Blossom Perfume, $36

There’s something about orange blossom that always makes me smile. And Coach’s Poppy Blossom takes that reminiscent scent and bottles it into the most subtly sophisticated style I could imagine. It has the fantastic combination of fresh and light energy of citrus berry notes paired with floral and feminine wisps of Poppy flower, vanilla, a hint of lily of the valley. So subtle. I could seriously wear this every day.

  • Litchi, Mara strawberry, mandarin, freesia, lily of the valley, Centifolia rose, tuberose, gardenia, Sambac jasmine, praline, vanilla, blonde woods and musk.

The iPhone X

If your recipient isn’t a klutz and promises not to drop it, the iPhone X is considered the best smartphone of the year. For apple users, it features facial recognition, OLED display, front/rear facing top pro-quality cameras, wireless charging, stereo quality speakers, and more. This one is sure to be a major wow moment Christmas gift this year.

Urban Outfitters Rose Gold Scratch Off Map, $39

The scratch off map is a great gift for the traveler in your life as they document where they’ve been and plan where they’re going…and take you along for the ride! There are several black and primary color versions, but for a more stylish approach, opt for the rose gold version by Urban Outfitters.

Macaron Café Queen Catherine de Medicis Box, (18-ct + 2 cocktail macarons) $54

Macarons are one of my favorite treats of all time, and if you think Ladurée is good, well you haven’t been to Macaron Café yet. Yes, that’s right. I’m making the declaration that Macaron Café is actually better than Ladurée. The ones from Paris are delicious, but these…oh my goodness. They have fantastic flavor, and they add scrumptious little toppings to some of them, which add a fantastic pop of texture. You can get the Daily Mix, or you can opt to mix your own, and I highly recommend the almond, pistachio, and (of course) orange blossom flavors. Bonus – they come in the cutest mini hat box!

Tarte Sizzle Eyeshadow Palette, $36

This Rainforest of the Sea palette has colors with a shimmery, metallic finish to make her eyes dazzle. The hues look great on many different types of skin tones, as seen on the photos on Tarte’s page (I love how they show the arm swatches so they take the guess work out!) and as a pale girl myself, I am a hard sell for eye palettes, and even I love this one for how it makes my eyes pop.

BaubleBar Pave Faidra Resin Drop Earrings, $36

BaubleBar always has THE BEST earrings. And this set has the best texture between the arcing pave that leads down to a sleek marbled resin. These give great drama, but with a minimalist, low-key, and lightweight form so you barely notice you’re wearing them.

Pink Himalayan Salt Block, $25

For the top chef in your life, a Himalayan salt block is always a stellar option. These beautiful crystalized pink tiles come from ocean deposits mined in the Himalayan region in Pakistan. Harvested in massive boulders, then hand cut by local masons into these blocks. These can be heated to very high temperatures (above 700 F) or chilled to below zero. And they are so much healthier than throwing salt directly into your food as they only impart a faint amount of saltiness to the food that comes in contact with your block. Such an amazing addition to the kitchen’s repertoire.

Urban Outfitters Set of 12 Live Assorted Succulents, $49

Succulent plants will bring great energy to any space, and make great gifts. They are sun-loving, but are drought-tolerance and thrive in both indoors and out, so regardless of your recipients lifestyle, it’s a pretty safe bet. These cute little 2″ living décor pieces come fully soil-rooted in 2″ plastic pots, and just need a little water. You can send them directly to your recipient, or transplant them to a ceramic pot or terrarium for some major wow points.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Bundle, $100

Move over old school Polaroid, there’s a new camera in town. This baby is a loads of fun blast from the past, and it comes decked out with a ton of accessories including 40 sheets of film, cute mini frames and stickers, 4 color filters, an attachment selfie mirror, and a custom fitted case.
