The red carpet season is still chugging along, and Hollywood celebs have been flocking to the French Riviera for a little beach time, amazing food, and oh yeah, that super important film festival that showcases their work in competition.

And the red carpet is a serious sport for these celebrities. So important that models have started showing up simply to walk the event, even though they have nothing to do with the films. They just love a good red carpet.

So let’s take a look at the gorgeous red carpet moments so far!

Elsa Hosk ~ Gown: Etro

Sorbet hued rainbow beauty in one gown. So gorgeous.

Stacy Martin ~ Gown: Dior

When you’re terrified of a wardrobe malfunction, so you walk the red carpet quickly and meekly. Maybe this wasn’t the best choice for Martin.

Paz Vega ~ Gown: Ralph & Russo

This gown whispers unforgettable night in Italy (or Cannes), doesn’t it?

Embed from Getty Images

Emily Beecham ~ Gown: Chanel

The total winner for non-traditional on the red carpet. Sign me up for wearing this look.

Embed from Getty Images

Elle Fanning ~ Gown: Reem Acra

Give me a sheer cape embroidered with a little shiny sequin and crystal any day. Elle looks ah-mazing. And the gown underneath it (best pic in the final image) is perfection.

Priyanka Chopra ~ Gown: Georges Hobeika // Jewelry: Chopard

Still in the honeymoon phase? Priyanka and Nick Jonas just tied the knot several months ago, and this look speaks more bridal than red carpet.

Embed from Getty Images

Quentin Tarantino and Daniella Pick

Fresh off the romance of marriage, the sparks are flying here. The gown is simple, but full of drama.

Embed from Getty Images

Milla Jovovich ~ Gown: Balmain

I will buy the multi-pass to this look any day. The low shoulder is stunning.

Embed from Getty Images

Karolina Kurkova ~ Gown: Etro

Ok, the color pop on this gown HAS to put a smile on your face. It certainly does on Karolina’s.

Tilda Swinton (with daughter Honor) ~ Suit: Chanel

Classic silk pajama suit, and cute little detail with the feather in the button. And I love the fact that she brought her daughter as her date to the red carpet.

Embed from Getty Images

Chiara Ferragni ~ Gown: Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

I think I would like this better if the bra top were a bit more substantial on the bottom. And no, I don’t mean giving her a bigger bust. I mean the strapping and portion underneath. It feels like the proportions aren’t working here.

Embed from Getty Images

Dakota Fanning ~ Gown: Armani // Jewelry: Chopard

Pretty, simple, demure. The mustard bow adds a great touch that actually pops a bit against a red carpet.

Embed from Getty Images

Elle Fanning ~ Outfit: Dior

Oh my good Grace Kelly alive. I’m a sucker for vintage, and this is just killing me dead with old Hollywood beauty.

Embed from Getty Images

Chloe Sevigny ~ Dress: Miu Miu // Jewelry: Chopard

This is cute…but in a Flintstones meets red carpet kinda way.

Embed from Getty Images

Camila Coelho ~ Gown: Georges Hobeika // Jewelry: Boucheron

Camila’s impeccable figure is shown off in this stunning crystal gown that could stand entirely on its own without the train. And when the train is fully splayed out, it no doubt heightens the drama. But looking through all the photos of the team fumbling on the red carpet with all that slinky material, trying to fluff it up like the parachute game in kindergarten…well…you can’t really unsee it once you see it.

Embed from Getty Images

Shanina Shaik ~ Gown: Zuhair Murad

Ok models, just stop. STAAAHHHP. You have now denigrated yourselves to actually wearing the equivalent to a bathing suit not just on the red carpet, but to sit your slightly covered asses on a movie theater seat. For almost two hours. Where many asses have sat before you. Does that sound appealing? And beyond the hygienic logistics of it all, can you just class. it. up?

Embed from Getty Images

Izabel Goulart ~ Jumpsuit: Alexis Mabille // Jewelry: Chopard

I can’t say I’m usually one for a glitz jumpsuit (re: Toddlers and Tiaras), but Izabel really pulls this Alexis Mabille version off. And I guess much of the credit has to go to Mabille himself for the design, right? The linear beading gives the sparkle look a sleek upgrade, and Goularts long, lean silhouette coupled with that single high-slit absolutely makes the outfit.

Jasmine Tookes ~ Gown: Zuhair Murad // Jewelry: de GRISOGONO

I’m such a sucker for the Lebanese designers. Zuhair chose a great color for Jasmine – the icy blue looks gorgeous against her skin, and I think the plunge was a great idea. I wish the detailing was just a bit more intricate, but otherwise a beautiful gown.

Embed from Getty Images

Adriana Lima ~ Gown: Michael Kors // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Earrings: Chopard

This gown is THE gown for Adriana. It’s sexy, the deep blue is perfect for her skin tone, and it’s dripping in shimmer to enhance that sensuality. And did you notice that goddess model pose she’s got nailed in the second photo? Potential models, take note.

Margot Robbie ~ Outfit: Chanel

Leomie Anderson ~ Outfit: Rami Kadi

I both love and hate this look at the same time. The body suit is aahhhhh, so gorgeous. But that train. It looks like costume fabric, and that way that it’s draped is just….bad. So bad.

Embed from Getty Images

Winnie Harlow ~ Gown: Ralph & Russo

Get. It. Girl. Now this is a naked gown that I can fully get behind. Winnie went for it with a sheer gown that highlighted her vitiligo skin beautifully. While some see a skin condition to cover up, Winnie silently shouts from the red carpet that it’s nothing to be ashamed of, but something to celebrate.

Michelle Rodriguez ~ Gown: Rami Kadi // Shoes: Casadei // Necklace: Piaget

Embed from Getty Images

Bella Hadid ~ Gown: Dior // Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Bella went for a little romance in this white tulle sweeping gown, and the asymmetric halter neckline was a stunner. And then, that last pic of the slide with her looking back, and the sun just catching her in the perfect light! Sooooo gorgeous.

Embed from Getty Images

Eva Longoria ~ Gown: Cristina Ottaviano

It’s a gorgeous gown, showcasing Eva’s statuesque silhouette. But when you don’t look comfortable in the gown, it’s sometimes obvious that the gown is wearing you. Eva did not appear to enjoy the walk on the red carpet in this gown.

Embed from Getty Images

Deepika Padukone ~ Gown: Dundas // Jewelry: Lorraine Schwartz

I don’t believe anyone who attended Cannes can say they don’t know who Deepika Padukone is anymore. Not because of her work as an Indian film actress…but because of her all-out big red carpet moments. Don’t worry Deepika, we see you. I actually love this look. But where do you think she stores the bow?

Sara Sampaio ~ Suit: Rami Kadi // Shoes: Casadei // Jewelry: Boucheron

Now THIS is a version of a shimmery suit I can’t get behind. Red carpet meets big top ringmaster. And not in a chic way.

Embed from Getty Images

Priyanka Chopra ~ Gown: Roberto Cavalli // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Jewelry: Chopard

I think I wore a version of this gown to the prom….

Embed from Getty Images

Dita Von Teese ~ Gown: Alexis Mabille

Another exciting Alexis Mabille. That man is on fire right now. When Dita von Teese is known for the overtly sexy, it’s nice to see her in something a little more demure, but still has her name written all over it. It’s classic vintage romance with satin flanked by dotted tulle ruffles, and I am totally here for it.

And the pop of color with the blue stone choker brings is perfect, highlighting that gorgeous red lip. It might be a black dress, yet it’s anything but simple.

Shailene Woodley ~ Suit: Dior

Another suit on the Cannes red carpet! What is happening?! You know, this isn’t just happening on the red carpet, but I’ve been seeing suit jackets and blazers all over the place this season by celebrities. Total trend alert.

Shailene all out went for it in this Dior long-tailed tux with white lapels and cuffs over a tailored short and I just can’t with this girl. It looks fantastic. I think they could have done something slightly better with the shirting underneath, but the rest of it looks great on her.

Julianne Moore ~ Gown: Louis Vuitton

Dang, woman. Just dang. This is probably a love/hate, hot/cold look. This is a love for me.

Embed from Getty Images

Barbara Meier ~ Gown: Ziad Nakad // Jewelry: de GRISOGONO

I’ve never heard of Ziad Nakad before, but he’s definitely giving me Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad vibes. So I looked him up, and wouldn’t you know it, he’s also from Lebanon along with the other two who are known for their intricately detailed, dreamy gowns. Consider me a new fan.

Selena Gomez ~ Gown: Louis Vuitton // Shoes: Jimmy Choo // Jewelry: Bulgari

Yaaassss. All these women are showing OUT on the red carpet. Selena went for a more modern look in this crop top and quilted maxi, and I pretty much want this in my closet right now.

On a side note, Gomez used her opportunity at Cannes to speak about how social media has become terrible for young people. She talked about bullying, being disconnected, and a lack of awareness to real issues happening in the world. It’s admirable to see her speaking out about that when I think most would be just promoting their films and trying to make themselves look as good as possible for PR. She has a cause, and she wants to speak on it. Good for her.

At one point, I was writing on her once or twice a day. Now, I post when I want to (dis)connect. I agree with her that there’s a healthy balance somewhere in there that you have to strike, and it’s harder for younger people who are just learning self control and want to consume everything they can.

Thanks for listening. Now back to our regularly scheduled entertainment….

Elsa Hosk ~ Gown: Alberta Ferretti

Elsa’s going for full drama here, and the purple feathers are…extra. In some positions, she looks stunning. In others, she looks, well, like an hourglass stuffed with purple feathers kinda extra.

Embed from Getty Images

Izabel Goulart ~ Gown: Etro

That low back is killer. Izabel got booty!

Embed from Getty Images

Elle Fanning ~ Gown: Valentino // Jewelry: Chopard

So pretty, but I feel like she belongs on the cover of a romance novel, in the arms of a shirtless man, looking like she’s fainting.

Embed from Getty Images

Eva Longoria ~ Gown: Alberta Ferretti

She’s got legs and she knows how to use them. I love the bustier on this gown. But I’ve never been a fan of the twisted/ruched silk look. I first saw it on the Versace runway, and maybe it’s that first bad taste still stuck in my mouth.

Embed from Getty Images

Bella Hadid ~ Gown: Roberto Cavalli // Shoes: Brian Atwood

A remix of her original sexy high-slit number that caused quite a stir at Cannes in 2016. Sizzle! This is surprisingly not as well-loved by the public as the whimsical white gown that she wore. Take is as a sign, Bella!

Embed from Getty Images

Deepika Padukone ~ Gown: Giambattista Valli // Headwrap: Emily London // Jewelry: Lorraine Schwartz

And the other “look at me!” moment by Deepika Padukone, who is obviously attempting to become a household name. Say it with me: “Deepika Padukone”. Apparently taking on the form of a frothy lime-aid is just the ticket.

Embed from Getty Images

Elle Fanning ~ Gown: Gucci

Yaassssss. Old school vintage charm meets cape. Love it.

Embed from Getty Images

Amber Heard ~ Gown: Elie Saab // Jewelry: Chopard

This girl somehow makes thigh-high boots on the red carpet work. And I mean, REALLY work. But not that Pretty Woman kinda work.

Embed from Getty Images

Penelope Cruz ~ Gown: Chanel // Jewelry: Swarovski

Woo! I feel like we’re on that old “It’s a Small World Afterall” ride at Disney World!

Embed from Getty Images

Alessandra Ambrosio ~ Gown: Julien Macdonald // Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti // Earrings: Boucheron

A riff off of Bella Hadid’s riff off of her own 2016 barely there dress. It just keeps going.

Embed from Getty Images

Maria Borges ~ Gown: Roberto Cavalli // Jewelry: Chopard

Safe, but pretty.

Embed from Getty Images

Sririta Jensen ~ Gown: Michael Cinco // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Jewelry: Avakian

Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the Cannes 2019 red carpet. The rest of you can all go home. I mean, look at the side of that bodice. I rest my case.

Embed from Getty Images

Aja Naomi King ~ Gown: Zac Posen // Shoes: Casadei // Jewelry: Messika

Now this is a similar silhouette to Elle Fanning’s floral gown, but is executed so much better. I think the color and texture are both stunning against Aja’s skin, and having a single color without a print really simplifies a powerful shape.
